The artist says that these handmade ceramic creations tell stories… I believe her.
“My work tends to be small and mysterious – even to me. In an effort to understand my work better I started to ask the things I made what they were about. When I sat with them very quietly, and listened, I could hear that they had things to say – these are their (smallest) stories.”
She’s Bonnie Marie Smith from Kingston, New York (USA) and these collection are the “Smallest Stories“.
How inspiring are these works?!! I think they’re amazing!!
I felt in love with every single detail finding an ocean of emotion and creation… it’s only me?
Then, the photo with all these little creatures together, side by side… is simply magic, what else? It’s ART.

“Il mio lavoro tende ad essere piccolo e misterioso – anche a me. Nel tentativo di capire meglio il mio lavoro ho iniziato a chiedere alle cose che faccio che cosa fossero. These handmade sterling silver earrings are so super cute that I wanted to post some from the lovely Mini Zoo series by Giedre Koloksanskyte, a creative jeweler from Lithuania, Europe.
My absolutely favorites are the Mosquito earrings and the Moose earrings. So tender!
The online shop (Karramba) is full of little creatures like foxes, koala, frogs, crocodiles (amazing!), and many others.
They’re also a sweet and chip gift for friends and little girls. I already ‘loved’ it on Etsy!

Questi orecchini artigianali d’argento sono davvero troppo carini e ho voluto pubblicarli qui, scegliendone alcuni direttamente dalla serie “Mini Zoo” di Giedre Koloksanskyte, un’ orafa che vive in Lituania, Europa.
I miei preferiti in assoluto sono gli orecchini zanzara e gli orecchini alce. Tenerissimi.

Another year is gone and in a few days also Imaginative Bloom will start to live in 2012.
I can’t believe it. A little space born from a little dream and an idea, e we’re still here, thanks to all of you who continue to follow.

Could I leave out this moose? No no no and absolutely not.
It’s adorable! It’s entirely handmade, from modeling the ceramic clay to painting.
Interesting is the decoration that is made using the needle-etched engobe technique.
Aaaah feelings of love all around.
All these creatures are so lovely and what about the dog below? I feel so inspired!
And I’ve just realized that I ended up on brooches. Again.
I’m starting to think that it’s an illness. And it could be contagious. Beware! :)

E quest’ alce? Potevo mai lasciarla fuori? No no no e assolutamente no.
E’ adorabile! E’ interamente fatta a mano, dalla modellatura dell’argilla ceramica alla pittura.
La decorazione è interessante, è fatta usando la tecnica dell’ingobbio con incisione ad ago.
Aaaah provo sentimenti d’amore.
Queste creaturine sono così belle! E il cane qui sotto? Un’ispirazione!
E, fra l’altro, ho appena realizzato che son finita sulle spille. Di nuovo.
Sto iniziando a pensare che sia una sorta di malattia. E potrebbe essere contagiosa. Attenti! :)

Ok, maybe I’m a little bit obsessed by handmade brooches.
But I mean, have you seen them?
Awww the world is an endless well of wonders and talented creatives, this time from Bulgaria.
I’ve discovered the works of Denitsa via Flickr and she immediately became a favorite on my “love list” of the handmade field.
Her creations are made mostly using clay and paper and the characters are amazing!
Not to mention the illustrations!
If your mouth is watering like mine, you should follow Denitsa’s blog and her Flickr page.
There’s more.
PUNKT and Denitsa Boyadzhieva have launched a super lovely project: it’s a printed 2012 calendar featuring Denitsa illustrations and together with it you can “adopt” a lovely brooch at your choice.

Si, forse sono un tantino in fissa con le spille handmade.

Aaaaaah il mondo è un pozzo infinito di meraviglie e di laboriose menti creative, e questa volta vengono dalla Bulgaria.

New wonders to fall in love with!
I was surfing the web during my moment of research and inspiration and… tadaaa!
It’s Min Lee (from Seoul, South Korea) who creates all these shapes with porcelain painting them by hand, one by one.
All these beautiful and original head brooches to wear are the result.
A real and precious work of art.
Min is also on Facebook and Flickr, but you absolutely have to take a tour on her Minini Etsy shop to see the entire collection, full of adorable head brooches to love!

While doing my research I found this collection of original leggings and stockings. Loved them at first sight.
The design is extremely original, actual and fashion.
Thinking they are handmade makes them even more valuable!
The creator is Alyona Bauska from Riga, Latvia. She sells her products on Etsy at QooQooFashion.

I also love the geometric designs of these screen printed leather pouches and tote bags by Corium from Lithuania, Europe.
Amazing! Going crazy with these patterns!
I chose these because, in addition to love the geometric designs, I like the idea of covering vessels and containers with salvaged or repurposed sweater.
It’s a thing we can also try at home and have fun with!
