EnglishThis Friday starts with a new amazing discovery guys!
Excited to introduce you La Nonette illustration by Manon Bijkerk, a 23 years old girl from the Netherlands. She’s an illustrator and a comic maker – plus all the other lovely things in between!
Love the funny and fresh style of her sketches and little comic stripes. I simply adore the lettering!
I think I’ve already obsessed you enough about my boundless love for the handmade lettering style. Yep, guilty!
In the meantime my craftive-side brain is jumping of excitement for having this new amazing artist in our collection of handmade inspiring creations!

Sono felice di parlarvi di La Nonette illustration di Manon Bijkerk, una ragazza di 23 anni dai Paesi Bassi. E’ un’ illustratrice e fumettista – più tutto quello che può starci nel mezzo!
Amo lo stile fresco e divertente dei suoi sketches e delle sue vignette “fumettate”. E adoro il fatto che usi spesso un lettering handmade.
Penso di avervi tarmato abbastanza con il mio profondo e sconfinato amore per le scritte dal tratto irregolare del “fatto a mano”. Consapevolmente colpevole.
E intanto il lato cre-attivo del mio cervello zompetta, felice di avere questa nuova bravissima artista nella nostra collezione di ispirazioni handmade. Hurrà!

EnglishI’m here typing happily on my keyboard to share with you some adorable works I found.
The bloom of the free-hand-drawn-things trend seems to be always (and still) in motion and this is great for my craftive-senses because I love it. I think it’s so stimulating for the imagination.
These handmade ceramics are created by Vicky Lindo.
A pleasant and inspiring discovery, also for all OOAK’s collectors and lover of cats and original plates.
I would love to have a corner on my home where to hang some of these plates, so funny.
Not to mention how nice would be to eat on them. I’m getting lost on my fantasies. Again.
Thanks creative souls around the globe, you stuff my days with the beauty of your fantasia and always give me new creative lymph!
In the meantime the desire to own a ceramic kiln is growing and grrowing guys.
Do you feel part of the “I-need-a-ceramic-kiln-too” tribe? I’m in!
ItalianoSono qui a digitare allegramente sulla tastiera per condividere con voi alcuni adorabili lavori scovati in questi giorni.
Il boom del trend delle cose-disegnate-a-mano-libera sembra essere sempre ricco di nuovi spunti e (ancora) in movimento, il che è fantastico per i miei sensi perché amo questo stile. Lo trovo molto stimolante per l’immaginazione.
Queste ceramiche fatte a mano sono create da Vicky Lindo.
Una scoperta piacevole e di ispirazione, anche per i collezionisti di pezzi unici, di gatti e di piatti originali.
Già immagino di avere un angolo di casa con appesi alcuni di questi piatti.
Per non parlare di quanto sarebbe bello mangiarci dentro. Sto fantasticando.
Grazie artigiani del mondo, farcite le mie giornate con la bellezza della vostra fantasia regalandomi linfa creativa sempre nuova!

EnglishHi guys! I’m finally able to share with you another pill of inspiration on the IB blog.
It comes from a “brand new” artist I just discovered in these days – Dežela Nije, from Slovenia.
Her illustrations and handmade creations are so sweet and delicate that I wanted to collect them here.
Not sure about the material used for the brooches (both the blog and the Dežela Nije Facebook page are in slovenian), but these little houses should be made out of wood.
Also illustrations are so lovely! What do you think about this style?
Curious to see her next creations :)
ItalianoBuon sabato! Finalmente sono riuscita a dedicare un po’ di tempo ad una nuova pillola di ispirazione per il blog di IB.
Arriva da un’artista scoperta fresca fresca in questi giorni – Dežela Nije, dalla Slovenia.
Le sue illustrazioni e creazioni artigianali sono così dolci e delicate che ho voluto assolutamente pubblicarle qui, nella nostra collezione di meraviglie handmade.
Non sono sicura dei materiali usati per le spille (blog che la pagina Facebook di Dežela Nije sono in sloveno), ma queste piccole casette dovrebbero essere di legno.
Anche le illustrazioni sono davvero carinissime. Che ne pensate?

She’s Ana Vitorino and comes from Portugal.
What I’m enjoying most are the original shapes and designs she creates in a perfect marriage between rough and daintiness.

Also the colors’ combination she uses are always delicate and original.
These creations are made using air drying clay and then painted by hand.
With her wonders Ana immediately jump into the list of my favorite artists, the ones who are able to set in motion my creative neurons :)

ItalianoSono felice di condividere con voi un’ altra meravigliosa artista. Per me una nuova fonte di ispirazione, fresca, originale, vivace.

Quello che mi sta piacendo di più sono le forme e i design che crea in un equilibrio che sposa una delicatezza di colori e disegni a dettagli dall’aspetto grezzo.

Anche la combinazione dei colori che usa è sempre molto delicata e particolare.
Queste creazioni sono realizzate con argilla che asciuga all’aria ( il principio è quello del Das, ma se ne trovano di varie marche con una grana decisamente migliore) e poi dipinte a mano.
Con le sue meraviglie Ana entra senza “passare dal Via” nell’insieme degli artisti che sanno mettere in moto i miei ingranaggi creativi e dei quali amo seguire con curiosità e ammirazione l’evoluzione artistica.

EnglishBrand new artist feature arriving! She’s Bruno from Japan and this time it’s all about handmade and embroidered dolls.
What I love the most of Bruno’s creations are the embroidered details, the hair and the sailor-bow (I love almost all sailor-things).
And you? Aren’t they super duper nice? :)
ItalianoNuova artist-feature in arrivo! Lei è Bruno dal Giappone, e questa volta si parla di bambole e creaturine imbottite fatte e ricamate a mano.
Quello che mi piace di più delle sue creazioni sono i dettagli ricamati, i capelli e ovviamente il fiocco in stile marinaretto – ha colpito il lato “sailor” del mio curicino.

EnglishHi IB-friends! Ready for another dose of wonder?
This week’s discovery is Ana Salomé (aka Ha Monstros Debaixo Da Cama) and her adorable hand painted little monters and creatures.
I loved her style and colors at first sight, so fresh and so original. They deserve a place of honor here in the IB-land of imagination!
My favourites are the little monster shaped brooches and necklaces and the rounded ones.
Watch at the designs, all hand painted with love one by one.
Amazing pieces of contemporary handmade.
The shape of this monsters is a wonderful example of the result we can obtain with an original and creative stylization.

La forma di questi mostriciattoli è un esempio perfetto del risultato che si può ottenere con una stilizzazione che nella sua semplicità sa essere originale e creativa.

EnglishYaY! It’s the first day of 2013 and I can say I started the new year creating! I like the feeling!
Thanks to Mayi Carles of Heartmade blog for asking me to be part of her “I’m Messy and I Know it” Day – immediately loved the theme and the idea to be part of a community of messy creatives!
I took this opportunity also to experiment and have fun hand painting on fabric and embroidering little details.
One of my goals for this year is to create a collection of handmade products available for purchase and Tea Towels are a project I have in mind for a while.
This is my contribution to Mayi’s party.

E in più ho colto l’occasione per sperimentare e divertirmi un po’ con la pittura su stoffa e il ricamo di piccoli dettagli.
Uno dei miei obiettivi quest’anno è quello di creare una collezione di prodotti handmade acquistabili, e le tovagliette da thè sono un progetto che ho in mente da tempo.

It happend to me when I saw the handmade creations and embroidered works by Nadya Sheremet (discovered via Deborah Beau of Kickcan and Conkers).
I wrote Nadya privately to make her all my complimets for these wonderful works and strongly encouraged her to make them available for purchase too.
For now you can find Nadya Sheremet only via her private Facebook account - she currently doesn’t have an online website, Facebook page or shop – but I suggested to make her works public because I really think that people would love them!

Sometimes we need to be ancouraged to realize how beautiful are the things we create!
ItalianoE poi ci sono meravigliosi spiriti creativi che trovi per caso.
Mi è successo quando ho visto le creazioni handmade e i lavori ricamati di Nadya Sheremet (scovati via Deborah Beau di Kickcan and Conkers).
Ho scritto a Nadya privatamente per farle i miei complimenti per i bellissimi lavori che realizza e l’ho fortemente incoraggiata di renderli disponibili per l’acquisto.
Per ora potete restare in contatto con Nadya Sheremet solo attraverso il suo account privato di Facebook – attualmente non ha un sito online ne una pagina Facebook pubblica – ma le ho suggerito di rendere pubbliche le sue meraviglie perché penso davvero che il popolo dell’handmade le adorerebbe!

EnglishGuys, if you liked my post about Valériane Leblond and the works I shared on the Facebook IB page some time ago by Kirsty Elson Designs, I think you’ll love the style of this italian artist: Angela Fattori.
And, again, houses! Sometimes I think it’s becoming a mania. Can’t resist their sweetness and all the meanings that they contain!
Angela has recently created a public Facebook page called A Volte Sogno (that means “Sometimes I dream”).
What do you think about her works?
I love them, they have a touch of “dream”.
If I were you I’d keep an eye on her :)

EnglishAnd ta-daaaa! You Are Awesome: 21 Crafts to Make You Happy, a new crafty book review for you!
When I received this book (few weeks ago) I’ve been SO happy – I didn’t know it – it’s a new publication and comes from Cicada Books, a lovely publishing company based in United Kingdom.
They produces books about art, design, craft and visual ideas since 2009.
The book has been written by Abbey Hendrickson, the freelance artist/crafter behind Aesthetic Outburst blog.
It has 80 pages, a super lovely thick hardcover and contains 21 crafty projects with instructions and templates.
My opinion on the book:
I am a very visual type when it comes to craft and handmade things so my first impression is intimately linked to the aesthetics of the book, that in this case is adorable!
The choice of the cover (both graphically and for the particularly thick hardcover), the quality of the photos, the use of an orange fluo color inside (love it!), the choiche to add an hand-written and hand-drawn touch with adorable sketches to better illustrate the projects, the fact itself that projects are all lovely, easy to do and funny!
I only found one flaw: 21 projects on a lovely book like this are too few! I would have liked to have browsed at least a hundred! ;)
My final verdict is… I LOVE this book!
I’m so happy to have it in my crafty book collection!

Quando ho ricevuto questo libro (poche settimane fa) ero troppo felice – non lo conoscevo – è una nuova pubblicazione e viene da Cicada Books, una casa editrice che ha base in Inghilterra.
Produce libri su arte, design, craft e idee visive dal 2009.
Il libro è stato scritto da Abbey Hendrickson, l’ artist/crafter che c’è dietro al blog Aesthetic Outburst.
Ha 80 pagine, una copertina carinissima rigida in un cartoncino molto spesso e contiene 21 progetti creativi/fai-da-te con istruzioni e templates.
La mia opinione sul libro:
Sono un tipo molto ‘visivo’ quando si tratta di craft e di cose handmade, perciò la mia prima impressione è intimamente legata all’estetica del libro che, in questo caso, è adorabile!
La scelta della copertina (sia graficamente che per il materiale, un cartoncino particolarmente spesso), la qualità delle foto, l’uso di un colore arancio fluo all’interno (lo amo!), la scelta di aggiungere un tocco di scritto-a-mano e disegnato-a-mano con carinissimi sketches per meglio illustrare i progetti, il fatto stesso che i progetti sono tutti molto carini, facili e divertenti!
Ho trovato una sola pecca: in un libro così bello 21 progetti sono troppo pochi! Mi sarebbe piaciuto averne sfogliati almeno un centinaio! ;)
Il mio verdetto finale è… AMO questo libro!
Sono felicissima di averlo nella mia collezione di libri sull’handmade e il DIY!
