 Many artists and creatives uses drops in their works. Drops are always a fascinating subject. I’m wondering  Did you already know Guisela’s works? Here I’ve made a little selection but you can find other creations at the Under a New Light Etsy shop and browse her Flickr page and Blog too. As you already know, I love things that has a vintage look and I found that these jewelry and accessories have a particular mix of vintage and modern shapes and geometries. An interesting combination. Don’t you  How nice is to start the day with a joyful mood, these colors around and a fresh spirit?  I found a bunch of garland-themed images in the IB Flickr Group and I wanted to collect them here. I love garlands, they’re able to change the atmosphere of a room in a second! And artists’ creativity has no limits, you can use them also to decorate a cake  It was watching the “Sleeping Cat” illustration that the theme came up in my mind – Absolute Cute!  Lately I’m attracted by every kind of hand crafted work that represent faces and facial expressions. So I wanted to choose this theme for my weekly picks in the IB Flickr Group. It’s not so easy to create something that has the exact expression that we have in mind. But artists can do this and much much  The theme I choose this week is “Lovely Color Schemes”. I wanted to put together some of the works that impressed me for the combination of colors used by artists. Besides being very beautiful, they show us also the importance of the choice of colors and how the final result can be achieved with a perfect  I think in this last year, on 2010, there are some things and details that are recurrent in some way: clouds, drops, owls, bears, birds… In 2011 instead I’m noticing that lots of creatives are using feathers as subject. There seems to be some sort of “trend”, even behind art. Do you think is so? What subjects in your opinion will be most used and reinvented by artists becoming the new  Hearts hearts hearts! Maybe it’s because of Valentine’s Day but I’m seeing hearts everywhere!  |
