EnglishFinally we’re starting to use the crowdfunding also in Italy, a system that in others countries is already having lot of success allowing more and more creatives to realize their own dream.
What is crowdfunding?
In simple words it’s a system that allows you to publish online your creative project, publicize it and collect the money you need to realize it.
The first that I’ve met and definitly one of my fav has been Kickstarter (that’s in English), and the last is Eppela, a lovely crowdfunding system based in Italy that offers the same oppotunities (both in Italian and in English).
How does it work?
YOU…
- make a video where you talk about your creative project and publish it on a crowdfunding’s site
- create a textual description and add info to make it more clear (and interesting)
- define the funding goal you need to start your project + a deadline by which it must be achieved
- define the value of the rewards that will receive all the people that make a donation
- use your creativity and do your best to promote your project, generate word of mouth, etc
THE OTHERS…
- can support with a donation choosing among all the available options (usually they start from few dollars) and /or spread the link of your project
Then, the money you donate will be taken from your account only when and if the project achieves the funding goal, otherwise they will remain in your pocket.
So you have nothing to lose, and if the project starts, you will also receive some lovely rewards (such as cards, pins, t-shirts, books, etc)
Some lovely project
Lately I’ve spreaded here and there about the project of Jessica Swift on Kickstarter that on these days has achieved the goal of 22.000 $, arriving till 24.813 $. Fantastic!
On Eppela instead there’s Chiaralascura, an Italian girl I’ve discovered by chance (thanks to Mafalda of Pinkrain), that has presented her idea, and in my opinion is really nice.
The funding goal is of 5.000 € and only 8 days are left to reach it. I’ve already made my donation, and you?

A few words on Eppela
What I like the most of Eppela is that it’s well designed, professional and very similar to Kickstarter, so its use is really simple and immediate, both for who is already familiar with crowdfunding and who is new to this system.
Then, another “detail” that in my opinion is really important and that will help it to get success, is that the site has also the English version (just click on the top right corner of the page).
This means that each project that was born here doesn’t remain closed within “Italian walls”, but can be seen, read, followed and supported from everywhere in the world.
And you know how much I believe in the importance of being opened to the world, doing my best to offer this also here on Imaginative Bloom.
In my opinion these systems of fundraising are a wonderful thing, a great mean that can really help creatives to realize many of those dreams that would otherwise remain unattainable.
Well, it is known… I’m a fervent “supporter of the creative support”! :)

ItalianoFinalmente anche in Italia si sta iniziando ad utilizzare il crowdfunding, che già in altri paesi sta avendo molto successo permettendo a sempre più creativi di veder realizzato il proprio sogno.
Ma cos’è il crowdfunding?
In parole semplici è un sistema che ti permette di pubblicare il tuo progetto creativo online, pubblicizzarlo e raccogliere i soldi necessari per poterlo realizzare.
Il primo sito di crowdfunding che ho conosciuto e uno dei miei preferiti è sicuramente Kickstarter (interamente in inglese), e l’ultimo che ho scoperto in ordine di tempo invece è Eppela, un fantastico progetto che nasce in Italia per offrire le stesse opportunità.
Come funziona?
TU…
- fai un video in cui parli del tuo progetto creativo e lo pubblichi in un sito di crowdfunding
- inserisci una descrizione testuale in cui puoi aggiungere altre info per renderlo più chiaro (e interessante)
- definisci il traguardo (la somma in denaro) che deve essere raggiunta affinchè il progetto possa partire + una scadenza entro cui deve essere raggiunto
- definisci le varie ricompense che riceveanno tutti coloro che ti avranno sostenuto con una donazione
- ti armi di impegno e creatività per promuovere ovunque il tuo progetto, scatenare passaparola, farlo sapere a tutti!
GLI ALTRI…
- possono supportare il tuo progetto con una donazione a loro scelta fra le opzioni disponibli (di solito partono da pochi euro) e/o divulgare il link al tuo progetto
E poi i soldi che vengono donati, verranno effettivamente prelevati dal vostro conto solo se il progetto raggiunge il traguardo, altrimenti rimarranno a voi.
Insomma in ogni caso non c’è niente da perdere e se il progetto parte, riceverete pure delle belle riconpense (cartoline, spille, magliette, libri…)
Qualche bel progetto
Ultimamente ho pubblicizzato qui e lì il bel progetto di Jessica Swift su Kickstarter che in questi giorni ha raggiunto il traguardo di 22.000 $ che è stato addirittura superato arrivando a 24.813 $. Fantastico!
Invece su Eppela c’è Chiaralascura, una ragazza italiana scoperta per caso (tramite Mafalda di Pinkrain), che ha avviato un progetto secondo me carino e che merita di essere pubblicizzato.
Il traguardo è di 5.000 euro e mancano solo otto giorni alla scadenza. Io la mia donazione l’ho già fatta, e voi?

Due parole su Eppela
Ciò che mi piace di Eppela è che è davvero strutturato bene, professionale e molto simile a Kickstarter, quindi il suo utilizzo risulta molto semplice ed immediato, sia a chi è già pratico di crowdfunding, sia a chi è nuovo a questo sistema.
In più, “dettaglio” a mio avviso molto importante e che lo aiuterà ad avere successo, offre anche la versione totalmente tradotta in inglese del sito.
Questo significa che ogni progetto nato qui non rimane chiuso tra le “mura italiane” ma anzi può essere visto, letto, seguito e supportato da ogni parte del mondo.
Sapete quanto io creda nell’importanza di questa apertura al mondo che cerco, dove possibile, di offrire anche in Imaginative Bloom.
Secondo me questi sistemi di raccolta fondi sono una cosa meravigliosa, un grande strumento che può davvero aiutare a realizzare molti sogni altrimenti quasi impossibili.
Beh, ormai è risaputo… sono una fervente sostenitrice del supporto creativo! :)

I love the idea to have a Manifesto that contain the essence of how we should live our passion to make it BLOOM! A collection of words that we should always keep in front of ourselves to remember all those things who make us brave, unique, happy, successful.
This manifesto is from the lovely Women in Business web site and it’s freely sharable. I fiund it smells of inspiration and energy and wanted to share it here with you.
I think I’ll create my own Manifesto to print and stick in the wall of my – under restyle -Lab!

Questo Manifesto proviene dal sito Women in Business ed è liberamente scaricabile e condivisibile. Trovo che profumi di ispirazione ed energia e volevo condividerlo con voi.
Penso che creerò anche io il mio Manifesto personale da stampare e appendere nel mio Laboratorio – attualmente in fase restyling – per avere sempre davanti ciò che è importante non dimenticare mai!

EnglishToday I put together for you a special big post full of lovely ideas and tutorials for your crafty pumpkins. You’ll find easy and quick ideas to realize, some other of medium difficulty, and a little bit of “extreme” creations.
Hope they will inspire you (as they did for me!) to create and personalize not only your Halloween, but your autumn and your home too!
Painted Pumpkins
These white pumpkins are made by Brittni of the beautiful Papernstitch blog. You also find a little tutorial to realize them. I LOVE white pumpkins! And this is a classic orange pumpkin with another simple design to realize.
These colorful pumpkins found via A life’s design blog, can give to your home an absolutely original touch. As you can see they are all simple designs. The important thing to give a beautiful atmosphere is to pay attention to colors.
I suggest to make some tests in a support (paper, cardboard, wood…) to see how your colors look together and in the space you’re planning to position your new painted pumpkins. Other painted pumpkins here.
Another lovely idea is the Chalkboard Paint Pumpkins. Follow the link and find the tutorial to create you own chalkboard. So funny and easy!
Decorated Pumpkins
Black and white pumpkins (but you can make them using the color and design you love more!) via the The Other White House blog. The technique is pretty simple and basically is the same used for the decoupage. You can follow this little tutorial. Just imagine how many kind of paper you can use!
This sweet vintage-inspired pumpkin is from Shabbylaneshop blog and here’s the tutorial. So precious!
You can also decorate with flowers, seeds and everything that can be implanted or glued. Take a look at these from BHG, decorated with flowers.

Carved and Filigree
I heart these three carved pumpkins. The shape, the colors. They’re a work by Lockette on flickr.
This is a funny Halloween creation by Jimbradshaw on flickr.
Note that all the pumpkins below have been created carving and creating filigree effects.
When you’ll carve creating holes the light from the inside will be a plain and intense light, while with the filigree you’ll have a transparency effect that will filtrate a less intense light. For the filigree effect you just have to scrape away the skin (the outer layer of the pumpkins). You can also adjust the depth of your carve in relation with the intensity of light you want from that specific area of your design to create a more sophisticated result.

Another useful tutorial I suggest is the 11 Tips For Carving Expressive Pumpkins.

Extreme carving
And the last section for some really stunning works! I can’t imagine how much time (and passion!) they spent on them. Simply wonderful – and scary!
I love the Pans Labyrinth and the first of these images is from that movie. It shows how detailed can be a peeled or shaved pumpkin. Spectacular.

Zucche Dipinte
Queste zucche bianche sono state fatte da Brittni del bellissimo blog Papernstitch. Potete anceh trovare un piccolo tutorial per realizzarle. Io AMO le zucche bianche! E questa è invece una classica zucca arancione con un’altro semplice disegno da realizzare.
Queste coloratissime zucche trovate attraverso il blog A life’s design, possono dare alla vostra casa un tocco assolutamente originale. Come potete vedere hanno tutte dei disegni molto semplici. La cosa importante, per dare una bella atmosfera, è quella di fare attenzione ai colori che si scelgono.
Suggerisco sempre di fare prima dei test su un altro supporto (carta, cartoncino, pezzi di legno…) per vedere come i vostri colori stiano tra loro e nello spazio in cui avete pensato di posizionare le vostre nuove zucche. Altre zucche dipinte le trovate qui.
Un’altra bella idea è quella delle zucche-lavagna. Seguite il link al tutorial per creare la vostra zucca-lavagna. Divertente e facile!
Zucche Decorate
Zucche in bianco e nero (ma potete farle usando i colori e i design che vi piacciono di più!) dal blog The Other White House. La tecnica è abbastanza semplice è di base è la stessa usata per il decoupage. Potete seguire questo tutorial. Immaginate quanti tipi di carta potete usare!
Questa zucca ispirata ad uno stile vintage viene dal blog Shabbylaneshop e questo è il tutorial. Preziosa!
Al posto di questi materiali, potete anche ricoprirla con fiori, semi e tutto quello che può essere impiantato o incollato su di essa. Date uno sguardo a queste dal sito BHG, decorate con i fiori.

Zucche glitterateeepr un effetto sbarluccicoso dal blog A Glimpse Inside assieme a questo facile tutorial.

Incisione e Filigrana
Amo queste tre zucche incise. Le forme, i colori. Sono un lavoro di Lockette in flickr.
Questa è una divertente creazione di Halloween di Jimbradshaw in flickr.
Vi faccio notare che tutte le zucche qui sotto sono state create scolpendole.
Quando scolpirete creando buchi, la luce che proviene dall’interno sarà piena e intensa, mentre la filigrana lascia un effetto di trasparenza che fa filtrare meno luce. Per l’effetto filigrana dovete solo levare via la pelle (lo strato più superficiale esterno della zucca). Potete regolare al profondità delle vostre incisioni in base all’intensità di luce che volete ottenere in qulla specifica zona del vostro disegno per creare un effetto più sofisticato.
Segui queste spiegazioni di Martha Stewart per aver eun idea più chiara di queste tecniche.
Un altro utile tutorial che suggerisco è 11 Tips For Carving Expressive Pumpkins (11 modi per scolpire zucche più espressive).
Altri esempi di queste bellissime tecniche. Per realizzarle suggerisco di creare sempre un template e disegnare l’immagine sulla pelle della zucca. Queste sono da Hubpages.com. Ne trovate altre qui, qui e qui.
Sculture estreme
E l’ultima sezione per dei lavori davvero incredibili! Non oso immaginare quanto tempo (e passione!) hanno richiesto. Semplicemente fantastici – e paurooosi!
Amo il film Il Labirinto Del Fauno e la priam di queste immagini si ispira ad esso. Mostra quanto dettagliato può essere il risultato finale di una zucca scolpita e spellata nel modo giusto. Spettacolare.

Awwww! Chairs chairs chairs! I like chairs. And when they’re so particular and original, become a design element that can change the style and atmosphere of an entire room.
This one is the stunning work of Jane Schouten from All The Luck In The World.
I already talked about this fabulous woman in a previous post about repurposed vessels (wonderful!).
I’m always fascinated by Jane’s creativity. In her own post you can admire other wonderful re-covered chairs and stools.
This one has been hand-drawn by Ani Castillo. Take a look on that link guys, ’cause Ani’s illustrations and drawings are fantastic.
Super colorful chairs by Graça Paz. I LOVE them! They remind me the gypsy roulottes by Jeanne Bayol and Jean Marie Marechal. I’m in love with this tzigane style and I really have fun creating little corners like this in my home, I should take some picture to show you :)

Awwww! Sedie sedie sedie! Mi piacciono le sedie. E quando sono così particolari ed originali, diventano un elemento di design che può cambiare lo stile e l’atmosfera di un’intera stanza.
Questo è un meraviglioso lavoro di Jane Schouten di All The Luck In The World.
Ho già parlato di questa donna favolosa in un precedente post sui contenitori per l’acqua del termosifone rinnovati e trasformati in vasi da muro (fantastici!).
Sono sempre affascinata dalla creatività di Jane. Nel suo post si possono ammirare altre meravigliose sedie e sgabelli ri-coperti.
Questo è stato disegnato a mano da Ani Castillo. Date un occhio a questo link perchè le sue illustrazioni e i suoi disegni sono fantastici.
Sedie super colorate di Graça Paz. Le AMO! Mi ricordano le roulottes stile zingaro di Jeanne Bayol and Jean Marie Marechal. Sono da sempre innamroata dello stile tzigano e mi diverto spesso a creare dei piccoli angoli simili nella mia stessa casa, dovrei fare qualche foto e mostrarvela :)
Altri bellissimi disegni su sedie bianche di tixinda in flickr. Uno stile doodle assolutamente adorabile.

EnglishGuys lately I’m having some problems with my neck and can’t stay long at my computer for quite some time. So I want to apologize if I will be a bit less present in the site for a while and posts less frequent.
Anyway, in these days I was thinking about a new section on the blog’s post where to publish articles in a ‘list’ format where to group things/links found around about every theme that can be interesting for you too to bookmark and share.
The idea is not yet fully developed but I’ve made a post below that’s an example of how it can be, or at least a ’sketch’ of the idea.
I would like to develop it with you. What do you think?
Please share your own thoughts in the comments space. New ideas and every additional note and suggestion are really welcome.
For example, let me know, what arguments you would love more to find in these ‘list posts’ ? How you would prefer they are written and formatted (a longest list of links without images? Or viceversa? A shorter description?)? How often you’d like to find these post published?
ItalianoRagazzi ultimamente sto avendo alcuni problemi al collo e perciò per un pò di tempo non potrò rimanere a lungo al computer. Quindi, voglio scusarmi se sarò un po ‘meno presente nel sito e se i post saranno meno frequenti.
Comunque in questi giorni stavo pensando ad una nuova tipologia di post in cui pubblicare gli articoli in forma di ‘lista’ raggruppando links trovati in giro su vari argomenti che possono essere interessanti anche per voi da salvare e condividere .
L’idea non è ancora sviluppata del tutto ma ho fatto qui di seguito un post che è un esempio di come potrebbe essere, una ‘bozza’ di questa idea, insomma. La vorrei sviluppare con voi. Cosa ne pensate?
Fatemi sapere qui sotto, nei commenti. Nuove idee e suggerimenti vari su questi ‘articoli lista’ sono benvenuti.
Fatemi sapere, ad esempio, quali argomenti vi piacerebbe di più trovare in questi ‘articoli lista’? Come preferireste fossero scritti e formattati (una lunga lista di links senza immagini? O viceversa? Una descrizione più breve?)? Con che frequenza li vorreste trovare pubblicati nel sito?

EnglishHi guys! Here in Italy is so hot that sometimes is really hard to stay for hours in front of a computer that produces even more heat inside the room! Oh my… How’s the temperature there?
In this sunny and hot summer it’s also hard to find something cool to wear for every occasion. I’ve made a search for you of some nice and original clothings, all rigorously handmade, obvious!
And yes, needless to say that all these clothings are on my own wishes list.

ItalianoQui in Italia è così caldo che a volte è davvero difficile stare per ore davanti a un computer che produce ancora più calore all’interno della stanza (priva di aria condizionata tra l’altro)! Porca paletta (eh traducetemelo questo in inglese! :P)! Com’è la temperatura lì?
In questa estate di sole e caldo è anche difficile trovare qualcosa di fresco e bello da indossare per ogni occasione. Ho fatto una ricerca per voi di alcuni abiti carini ed originali, tutti rigorosamente fatti a mano, ovviamente!
E sì, inutile dire che tutti questi vestiti sono tutti nella mia lista dei desideri.
